Loving MCV, it is wonderful. However, now I have my cameras here, and I know my IP cameras from Vivotek are compatible with MCV (using UI5). However, I have tried nearly everything possible to get MCV to add the cameras. It continuously says “Unable to get image from your camera.”
I have tried all sorts of variations I have read on these forums from cgi-bin/viewer/video.jpg to cgi-bin/video1.jpg.
I am using Generic IP Camera selection.
I am able to view my camera and its feed by going to the URL it has been assigned.
I have not set up DDNS yet for the camera, would that be the reason why MCV doesn’t find it?
There have been replies on other Vivotek threads where someone says “Just add in cgi-bin/viewer/video.jpg” but doesn’t say where to add it… then people say “okay that worked” but there is no further explination.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
@NTMock, previously I have had good luck looking in the Zoneminder forums or wiki for settings for still images / mjpeg streams. Unfortunately, I don’t see anything about your two specific cameras, but maybe you could ask in their forums.
