I have installed a Vision Door / Window Sensor and it is connecting fine and generally working. I’m seeing strange behaviour though, which is probably due to either configuration or my lack or understanding.
The sensor is currently triggering a very basic scene I’ve created that turns on hall lights 1 and 2, and turns off 2 after 30 seconds.
What I’m seeing is that when I open the door walking into the house in the evening, the scene is not triggered. If I open the door later on in the evening, the scene does get triggered.
Below are settings I currently have configured on the device. Am I missing something obvious here?
Any help or advise appreciated. Many thanks

I am Also experiencing issues with these devices (3 sensors) since some time. My problem is that scenes that should get triggered when a door is opened is instead triggered when the door is closed. I don’t know exactly when this problem occurred it is at least a few weeks ago but it might be more… Any advice is appreciated.
Funny, I had got the same problem with one ZD2102.
It was triggered again just after being tripped off with the door closing.
A reconfiguration seems to solve the issue (Module → Advanced tab → Commands).
I guess, that playing with variable Tripped, has induced a kind of desynchronization.
Thanks for your update, but I don’t think my problem is exactly the same as yours. I have set up a scene to turn on lights when a door is opened but instead it turns on when the door is closed. I will contact Vera support about it now.
I posted this on another similar thread, but just wanted to post it here too in case someone ran into this and not another. I’d also like someone else’s confirmation on whether this fix works for them.
I set a few of these (the Monoprice versions) up yesterday and was able to figure out a simpler fix for these door sensors.
My hunch is that even though these are door sensors, Vera is treating them like Motion sensors. At least the behavior I saw coming from these sensors really seemed to be the exact behavior you would want from a motion sensor, but not from a door sensor.
I was able to fix it through the following ways:
In the advanced → Variables page for the sensor in question:
[ul][li]Set AutoUntrip to 999999999[/li]
[li]Set IgnoreTripTime to 1[/li][/ul]
Through these changes we’re effectively able to “turn off” some of the motion sensor functionality which returns it to acting like one would want a door sensor to work.
This worked on two different Monoprice (which are Vision) door sensors that i set up yesterday. Hope it works for you too.
The sensors I set up like this have been working perfectly for me the last few days. I do not have any of the garage door sensors to test. But my hunch is that if you are seeing similar behavior and the sensor has these variables, it will likely work with them too.

I tried this and it worked great for the magnetic part of the door sensor. However, I am still having an issue with the wired contacts. They are automatically un-tripping. Do you know if there is a similar setting that can be modified for that?
Sorry to say, I have no idea. I only came upon this solution through a bit of trial and error while trying to undo the motion sensor-like behavior of these devices.
I would think that the functionality would be the exact same whether using the magnet or using the wires and wouldn’t need redundant variables. Perhaps double check that the values were set correctly? The way the UI in vera works, sometimes the new values entered don’t always stick.
The only other thought I have is that at least on the monoprice.com site most people in the reviews seem to claim that the wired connectors don’t seem to work at all. So perhaps these devices simply don’t support this expected functionality?
After working as expected for a while it seems the problem has reappeared for me. D/W sensors trip twice when opened and then closed. Is anybody else still having problems?
