Thanks to all our Beta testers on this release!

Very disappointed in the extremely limited amount of new devices supported…

Serious? Is this a zwave controller? Only round 6 new supported?

Will this update support Schlage deadbolts correctly before the last firmware render the locks partially useless?

i did the upgrade today, now my CIFS is no longer working it seems (i used it for DataMine…)

got it working again by running opkg upgrade

I skipped 23 due to all the problems folks had. I’ll wait a little bit before installing 24. 22 has been stable for me.

I installed this, and it doesn’t seem to have fixed the RFXTRX issue yet… I couldn’t set autocreate ON in the menus, still have to do it in advanced variables.

I’ll keep it installed this time, as geofencing works very well, and i’m not planning to add any 433’s at the time…

This probably only affects me, but if you’ve fiddled with the Z-wave Locale, the latest firmware forces a US Local change on each reboot.

Observed on both VeraSecure and VeraPlus - Z-wave module is reflashed to US frequency, even if you actually have an AU Frequency Z-wave module on board.

Rather inconvenient.

Upgraded my Edge and everything seems to be working fine.

Upgraded my oldest one vera 3 not much devices on this one, i m from Canada and cannot select provinces because it only give the choice to select states from USA.

+1, very poor firmware. No need to upgrade for me. Next !
Very disappointed in the extremely limited amount of new devices supported…
I think reliability is far more important (although it would appear that this upgrade fails miserably in that regard). I don’t think the count of new devices should be a benchmark for a good firmware update. Personally, I’ve found that the Generic Z-Wave device install has worked fine for most everything. (Including a WT00Z5-1 that they just announced support for in the new firmware). Perhaps this should be a separate thread, but listing the devices that you need explicit support for (and encouraging others to do so) would, I think, be more helpful than simply stating that there aren’t enough.

Was it pulled? This morning I got prompted for an update on my test box, I did not as there was not sufficient space. Now home and thought to try, but no longer available.

Cheers Rene

Yes, this was pulled. Here’s the quote from the other topic.
Hello people,

I really understand what you guys are going through as I made sure every person that posted here and reported, is being taken care of first hand. It’s indeed an exception that we are investigating. We do have a couple of reports as you may see on the forums but I can say that the number of affected users is below 1%, which made it even difficult to find and isolate the issue but critical nonetheless.

I can report that our dev team has isolated the issue. As an immediate measure, the prompt will be stopped, and a back to back release with hotfix should be out by tomorrow.

We really apologize for the situation but we can re-assure that we are on top of this. Our Customer Care team will in the office 24/7 at your service.

Thanks,

The Vera team.
Pulled and my 2nd vera edge pulls the firmware upgrade page for 1.7.3231 (the release before 1.7.3452).

I always thought it annoying that the firmware page would pop up if you were not current. It might be nice if Vera used the current format for all future upgrades and did not force the firmware pop up. Maybe one gentle reminder. OR, let the user select the option to be reminded of firmware updates. #slight hijack.
