Version 1.30 (iPhone + iPad) has been released.

Version 1.30 has been released and should appear in the App store shortly.

Changes:

  • This is now a universal app for both iPad and iPhone
  • Added support for several plugins: Philips Hue, Nest, Deus ex Machina, Smart virtual thermostat.
  • Dimmer gesture has been improved (less chance of accidentally cancelling it)
  • The “No control” (empty) tiles can be linked to battery powered devices to monitor battery status.

Great to see the universal app… I got your forum message before the App Store had flagged that an update was available.

First points I noticed:

  • going to have to do some serious reorganisation of my layout to use all the screen real estate properly now!
  • sorry to see power usage still reported in MWh rather than kWH to match the meter reading.
  • lots to play with… Thanks especially for battery status.

Thanks so much for all your work.

Hi intveltr,

Confirming that my CurrentCost power readings are appearing just fine in 1.30. Thanks for adding support for it.

My Aeon Smart Switches (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:BinaryLight:1 and urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:DimmableLight:1) also report power, but these aren’t selectable in HomeWave for the power meter widget. I can see why?it’s an all-or-nothing proposition and you’d have to list all switches and dimmers?what’s your opinion on including these two device types too?

That’s due to the sucky way HomeWave currently filters devices; it does so based on the device type rather than on the available services. The next version will address this, ensuring that any device is supported as long as its services are supported by one or more HomeWave controls.

Intveltr

Interesting observation - when I start up HomeWave on the iPad the current battery % value changes to ‘Not Charging’ and the icon shows full during the connection to Vera period?

See screenshot

Once loaded/connected it returns to normal…

What you’re seeing is a snapshot of my status bar (in the splash screen) rather than your own  I’m sure it can be fixed

Version 1.31 just hit the App Store. The only difference with v1.30 is that this version runs on iOS 4.3.x again.
