Morning all… as I am eagerly awaiting my VeraPlus, I’m trying to plan out my purchases and setup. One part I’m having some trouble figuring out is I want to have a camera at the front door. I would love to have it integrated with the doorbell to somehow when the doorbell is pressed it would send an instant alert to say phone where (in perfect world) the front camera would pop up or a PIC of the front door would be sent via text or email. OR once I have a permanent tablet for Vera in our living room, maybe once there is a doorbell press or motion at front door, a video stream of the front camera would come on? I am planning on purchased IP Cameras and use blueiris for the monitoring. Not sure if this is all possible, I’m trying not to get buy one of those “video doorbells” so I can keep everything on one platform, since Ring and Doorbird don’t integrate w/ Vera. Any thoughts on this one??

When someone pushes the button, the camera is triggered to send a picture to dropbox. Vera Alerts sends all my connected devices (cell, tablets, pc at work, pc at home, my Kodi setup) a picture. It also triggers certain lights to turn on for 3 minutes, and a verbal notification(voxcommando).
this setup is a bit redundant, as both things are sending a picture to dropbox. The nice thing is, it is actually 2 different pictures.
