VeraPLus and Fibaro FGD 212 modules

Hi all,

My upgrade frome Edge to Plus seems to have worked rather well. New license for PLEG and some tweaking of the serial port of the RFXcom, and that’s about it.

1 minor issue I have tough: I have 3 dimmer modules, and their status changes every hour (or so) from OK to ‘can’t detect device’. They work fine if turned on/off or dim, only this weird error message appears regularly.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I know this is of no help, but you are not alone. I have the exact same issue with these devices after upgrading from Vera Edge to Vera Plus.

Tried unpairing the devices and paring them agian. That did not help.

Christian

Good to know that pairing the devices again does not help, that would have been my next step.

Waiting for an upgrade to solve this wil be the best option then.

I have the same issue with my Fibaro FGD 212 dimmers. I have got a response from support stating “that this has been reported to our development team and they are working on a fix patch but for the moment I don?t have a ETA”

Same here with Fibaro 2 dimmers, additionally Fibaro motion sensor are not reporting battery status any more (exclude/include did not help). Some devices have changed “device options” to strange values itself for unknown reason, Everspring wall plug " Please wait! Getting the manufacturer" for last few days (few times excluded and included already) , some relays lost, work in old slave veralite but not visible in veraplus, mostly those difficult to access in order to have more fun. My advice better quit job or take one week off if you like to transfer to new vera plus.

I too Had the same issue with 25 of fibaro 212 dimmers. I had raised a ticket with the support team and have advised me that this is a bug which causes security enabled devices to loose connectivity after a while. They have said that they have escalated to the development had hoped it would be fixed on the next update. So no concrete answers.

No Luck yet. No firmware fix yet. Now been over a month. Kinda regret going to Vera route now.

Hi!

This also applies for the Switch Relay FGS212. Amazed how unlucky I have been (Since I guess I have to call it that now days  …)

Believe it or not, I have issues with almost every device I bought when starting this project. Fibre motion sensors, Fibaro Switch Relay FGS212, Fibaro Door sensors, Philips Hue (Not all VERA’s fault I must admit). Only thing that seems to be stable is Nest integration and the Qubino Switch Relays.

I have the same issue with VeraPlus and FGS212. Can’t detect device, but they are still working. If i switch the lamp on the error dissapears for a while, but returns later.
