VeraPlus about to go in the garbage

First few weeks with the veraplus were perfect. I had zero issues and everything was snappy. Last week I had my VeraPlus start going crazy, it got stuck in a loop ‘configuring’ my zigbee GE Link bulbs. When this was happening almost everything else went down as well. Contacted support, they ssh’d in that night and fixed it. I asked what caused it etc, basically was told it wouldn’t happen again. Well here we are, zigbee devices stuck in configuring and nothing else reliably works on the Vera. Contacted support, so far they haven’t got back to me. This is on top of 2 z wave devices randomly telling me they can’t connect, but actually work most the time.

Edit:I was trying to live with it until support got to take a look, I couldn’t wait another day. I timed it to when soon as all the radio lights came on (they cycle as all the services restart) I removed the last device that still said ‘configuring’ A GE Link A19 Bulb, fully supported and listed as a device. After removing everything was slow but operational. Another reboot and i’m back in business. Was able to re add that device with no issue and for now it’s working… until next time. I am about to pair all my zigbee stuff up to the Wink hub I have and control them through the plugin, quite an annoyance

Good luck. I commend you for being so brave as to be one of the few beta testing VeraPlus. I have the vera edge and can not believe that after 1 year i am still having it work for only 80% of the time properly. Yesterday for example I had to reinstall a previous backup twice. Why no idea. Did I install or change anything? No I did not. The only thing that happened was that something went wrong with vera servers, asking for a full explanation will probably fall on deaf ears.

My advice: When vera works, it works well. Keep a local backup on hand.

I am using the Vera for 1 main reason, there is a community lutron caseta plugin that works excellent. Also, I am using the HA bridge to talk to the vera for Amazon Echo control. This allows control through the hard coded hue/wemo support skipping me the cloud to cloud dance other solutions use. Now that Wink has local device control I am considering taking my zigbee network back to Wink and using the plugin for that as well. Seems like a massive work around, but it works. I used the Wink plugin while I moved my devices off of it 1 by 1 and was impressed

Edit: Check original post, removed last configuring device to get back up and running
