VeraLite unable to control my Nest

I just received a new VeraLite controller, and I downloaded and installed the Nest Thermostat plug-in. However, in the “Devices” tab, if i click “Settings” and enter my Username, password or polling interval, then click “Set”, I immediately receive the error: Device not ready.

Also, at the top of the screen is the message: Nest : Version 1.5.408 minimum required to run

I have the VeraLite with Firmware 1.7.318

Any help or information is appreciated

Thanks

This thread has a new file for you to upload to get past the incorrect error message:

However, there remain display problems on UI7, and I still await documentation from the Vera folks on how to make plugins appear properly on UI7 that work correctly on UI5. Once I have been given authoritative information on this, I will try to update it, but I do not have a Vera unit that can run UI7.

So I uploaded the file, and it then let me add my username and password, and it seems to be working.

One question I have is why are there two Up/Down settings on the temperature settings/control?

The Up/Down drag control covers up the word “cooling” on the device page. I included a couple screenshots.

Also, can the current and target temperatures supposed to display on the devices? Kind of like the Humidity does?

Thanks

I read reports on the other thread that it works properly under UI7 if you control it from a mobile app like AutHomation (Android), but reports of it looking wrong on UI7 natively seem universal among those who reported their findings. So you can get it to work – sort of – on UI7, but an update that makes it look correct in UI7 is somewhere in the future.

Hello! I was wondering if there’s a status update regarding the plug in? Thanks.

Watou, Just wanted to say, your contributions to the veralite community is nothing short of amazing and I appreciate all that you do!

I expect to have improvements ready next week, but I read that the latest UI7 made things better. I will finally have UI7 access in a few days.
