VeraLite stuck "Starting Zwave Network" status / "Command FailedZwave Not Ready"

Hi guys,

So I was able to restore the Vera using the firmware restore procedure. UI5 loads, and I have myself a nice blank Vera to start with… except it’s so blank, it cannot kick the Zwave chip into gear.

Since the afternoon (so 6+ hours), the Vera has been stuck in “Starting Zwave Network” status. Attempting to do anything ZWavey returns an error message “Command FailedZwave Not Ready”(sic).

Here’s what I know so far:
Zwave Port is “/dev/ttyS0”, which is correct for integrated-Zwave units. Changing the string results in No Zwave Device status, so it’s clearly correct.

Other status / settings:
Version 3.20 L:1
House/Node
Role Master SIS:NO PRI:YES
Last update N/A
Last Z-Wave network backup N/A

Changing other settings, like Use Zwave 3.20 instead of 2.78, or use MIOS routing doesn’t change anything. Zwave network is still unresponsive.

What could make the Zwave chip stop responding? Should I do the firmware recovery again - and this time cross more fingers? :slight_smile:

Can you do a "Reset Z-wave network in the zwave settings under the advanced tab?

But no… trying to reset the network gives that same “Command FailedZWave Not Ready” error message.
