The rep I spoke to said they sadly dont have anything new in the works and that they do know they need to do something as their hardware is getting a bit stale.

They did announce some new models last year: Micasaverde présente ses nouvelles Veras - Blog Domadoo But who knows if/when they are coming.

Huh, how weird. Did see those at all at their floor area at CES. They just had the VeraLite and the Vera3.
From the CES thread:

New hardware expected later in the year (3rd/4th quarter).

Huh, from that post did UI6 come out “next week”?
;D Nope. So don’t put a new Vera on your 2014 Christmas list?
Ha ha yea thats what Im thinking. But thats how CES can be. There is so many people and tons to talk to, sometimes you get different stories/feel/“facts” depending on who you talk to.
UI6 did hit the public just over a week after this post… Maybe not the way it was intended to be released but it still was released and new packages were being sold that were aligned with UI6.
I bought one of these G units from eBay. The seller is listed as an official seller on getvera.com. I have seen no issues with the unit and in fact the docs, http://docs5.mios.com/doc.php?page=installation_and_system_requirements&language=1&manual=1&platform=3Lite&go=GO show the G unit in the picture.
How low were you able to get it down to? The lowest I have read so far that the seller has accepted was $135.

I think he was selling it for $159 with a make offer option. I put in an offer of $149 and it was accepted instantly, so he must have it set it up to automatically take offers within a certain range. So, I’m not sure how low I could have gone, but I’m happy with the price.

I offered $135 and it was also accepted instantly. So at that time he had it set up to automatically accept that price.
Hmmm, now someone had to try offering like $125 and see what you get.
I tried $100 and then $115 and both were declined immediately. So if someone wants to try $125 and maybe $130 before they go for the $135 and post back letting us know how that went thatd be great.
Hi,
does anyone know the NorthQ NQ-901-EU gateway which really looks like the Veralite G / MiOS G100:
http://northq.com/pro-gateway/
I was interesting by the Veralite G, but looking for an EU version (I’m living in Spain) and found the NorthQ products…
I could get the NQ-901-EU from a Portuguese reseller (128 ?), but I want to be sure it OEM and can be used as a veralite.
Regards,

Well, it certainly looks exactly like the Vera lite G, however, looking at the web page, it looks like it probably has completely different or rebranded firmware to support NorthQ. You could perhaps manually install the Vera firmware, but I’m too new here to know if that’s wise advice.

Thanks Bruce ! ![]()
Does anyone knows if it’s good advice / easy to install Vera firmware?
Concerning the NorthQ NQ-901-EU gateway, I think that the features in the NorthQ webpage are not exact as in the Ralink page the RT3662 chipset is 500 Mhz and no 600 Mhz as anounced in the NorthQ webpage… so it could be same hardware than the Veralite / Varalite G / MiOS G100 ?
regards,
Sebastien
