VeraLite and wireless USB modems

Greetings!
I was wondering if anyone had any experiences or potential issues while using a wireless USB modem on a VeraLite in places where regular internet connection is unavailable. I’m trying to automate my cabin that’s far away from the closest internet connection and so thought it best to ask before dropping money on one. Due to my choice of USB modems being limited to ISP policies in my country it’d be great if you post the manufacturer of the modem you had success using.

I’m grateful for any information you guys can share and i’m sure i’m not the only one wondering about this topic (even though my forum search proved to be fruitless).

You might also looking into one of these routers if the Vera Lite won’t work.

my asus AC66U router has a backfall to 3G from my android phone. could be used also without the normal internet. N56U has this option also i think. WiFi 6 - All series｜ASUS Global

Is it possible to send AT commands to usb 3g modem? I would like to send sms messages from Vera with 3G usb modem.
