Can VeraLite be used with one USB hub to connect more than one USB device ?
And what USB hubs are known as compatible ?
If connecting 2 serial devices over USB using an USB hub, can we setup each serial port ?
I use a (generic) powered 7-port USB hub on the Vera Lite and it works just fine. Only have a USB memory stick plugged in (for the logs) at the moment, but since OpenWRT is just another linux distro, there should be no reason why it wouldn’t work.
The only thing to be wary off are USB->serial leads which do not have an internal serial. You may not get the same serial port each time after each port. Stick with FTDI based leads and you should be good to go.
