VeraEdge U17, Aeotec Range Extender & Fibaro Door & Window Sensor - Problems

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can offer me some insight and advice.

I have a VeraEdge running U17 together with a Fibaro Door & Window Sensor. I have successfully associated the two, and they work well together - no problems.

However, when I relocate the Sensor to its final location it is obviously out of range, and the VeraEdge continuously reports “Waiting for wakeup to configure device”.

So, I have acquired an Aeotec Range Extender to extended the range of the VeraEdge for the purposes of connecting the the Fibaro Sensor.

The Aeotec device pairs successfully and seems to be running fine.

However the Fibaro sensor continues to reports “Waiting for wakeup to configure device”.

I have run serveral heals and heals with stress test, to no avail - the Fibaro still reports “Waiting for wakeup to configure device”.

What am I doing wrong? Either the Aeotec device is not repeating as it should, or the Fibaro is not recoginising the Aeotec device? I know not which?

Any help and advice would be much appreciated,

Devices:

  • Vera Edge running U17
  • Aeon Labs Aeotec Range Extender DSD37-ZWUK
  • Z-Wave Fibaro Universal Door & Window Sensor

Delete your devices, move them to or close to their final destination.
Add the devices closest to the Vera first.
Far away battery powered devices might sit in the waiting for wakeup for along time (Can be over 15 minutes depending on the device and settings for wakeup intervals), just let them sit (you can try to wake them by tripping the sensor, that can help speed up the process).
