Hi togehter,
my name is David and I’m from Germany, so don’t be so harsh with my english
I just bought a VeraEdge in order to act as a middleware for my z-wave devices in my entirely home automation installation (most of it consists of KNX and the rest are enocean, z-wave and Zigbee devices). My primary controller for logic and the mediator for all different device types is a Intel NUC with the open source home automation project “openhab” installed on it. Openhab also has a binding for z-wave, but supports not as many devices as MCV does. Therefore it was a compromise depending on functionality and costs for me to buy a VeraEdge.
So, after this short introduction - here is my question:
The above called Vsision ZG8101 garage door sensor works as a generic device with VeraEdge (UI7). At first it was detected as a motion sensor. Then I found out (with help of this great forum), that I can change the device type to a door sensor. This is working well. But at the end I’m missing the battery level. Is it possible to convince my VeraEdge to report it?
Thank you very much!
Ohhh my fault - it is working now. After the last night it works with reporting a battery level. Ok it took a while but finally it works. Sorry for circumstances - the post can be closed. At least I’m presented myself and my home automation solution ;D
