Hello all,
I was able to add the EZFlora via Insteon and it is now listed as a generic IO device in my device in Vera 3.
Can someone assist in configuring the EZFlora for 4 zones?
Hello all,

I do not think the built in insteon support in vera supports this device fully. You might have to use the altsteon plugin.
Must use altsteon for full functionality. I have one controlling pool valves through altsteon
How did you get the times of days and or days for run times in the ezflora? where or how does it look in your UI5 Panel?
Thanks
I thought I’d bump this. I’m looking to replace my old controller and considering several options. This is one of them.
Any luck with this?
You will need to either run Altsteon which is an alternative to the built-in insteon support that Vera offers or you will need to look into the ISY Controller to control the EzFlora. Vera’s built-in support for the insteon device does not exist.
Thanks Garrett. I did read that.
I have 6 or so Insteon switches running under Altsteon so I’m OK with that. I’m just wondering if anyone has any experience using this product (via Altsteon) to see if it’s viable or not.
I just got EzFlora to work with Altsteon. Installing Altsteon takes a bit of doing, but there’s a good tutorial on how to do it here. My biggest concern is that I can only turn on one zone at a time - not sure if that’s a limitation of the EzFlora or of Altsteon. The built-in insteon support that comes with Vera definitely does NOT work for EzFlora. Altsteon exposes all 8 zones, 4 programs, pump options, etc.
Good luck,
Mo
I’m not sure of any system that runs more then one zone at a time? manual or automated! As you would have to have some pretty good water pressure for that. But if a person really wanted to all you have to do if you wanted to run two zones at a time is add the wires together on the control and when that zone goes on they both will run. ex= zone1 & zone2 in zone one slot = zone1&2 run together!
On the ezflora the zones run right after each other. I have had my running now for about 4 months and no problems. Programming is pretty easy and I have a scene set up for three water times. But you can also run just a zone through a scene for special watering too. Hope this helped…
