Vera2 Firmware Upgrade - no more access!

Hi,

I updated my firmware via http://micasaverde.com/vera2
I waited 15 min + and had no reaction:

Please wait for the upgrade to finish. This may take up to 15 minutes. I will tell you when it's done. After 15 min, if your router still doesn't respond, please unplug and plug it back in.

As adviced I restarted Vera2 after 20min. Since then I cannot access it anymore!!!

What can I do?

Via http://cp.mios.com/ I logged in and it saw my Ver as unassigned but could’t add it (I had to log in with a different account than on findvera).
https://findvera.com/ doesn’t find my Vera anymore.

Going to it’s local IP doesn’t react.

HELP!!! PLEASE.

For whatever reason, I did the upgrade yesterday. I spent most of the day regaining access.

I found that my IP address changed multiple times during the process. I have my own DNS/DHCP server and the normal Vera IP should have been 192.168.1.69 based upon the MAC address. When I could no longer address Vera by DNS name or IP, I checked the DHCP pool address assigned to the Vera MAC address. My normal MAC address is 00:C0:02:60:FB:BB. When I checked, after the upgrade, the MAC address registered was 00:C0:02:60:FB:BA. When I accessed 192.168.1.204, I could access UI4 on my Vera2.

It moved at least one more time during the process. I cannot put my finger on why this occurred, however, it has ultimately settled down and I am now on UI4.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Most every router type box like this has 2 mac’s
I don’t know why I have asked over and over again.
There is something in the upgrade that reverts the IP config to a OUT of the BOX set up . Once you gain access then just re-configure it the way you want.

Hopefully they will have this fixed soon. I would not update Vera remotely unless you are not using Vera in client mode or static IP untill this is repaired

Thank you both for your answers!
Now I tried everything to get connected (check IPs, MAC-adresses…). Bad luck! The only thing that worked was to factory-reset the device via double-clicking the reset-button on the backside. The effect: I came in but had to wait until Vera reconfigured the z-Wave network and I had to reconfigure all my settings (naming, sections, rooms, scenes…)!!! I didn’t try to install my backup from UI3 - who knows what would have happened then…
That all that for an update to a UI4 that is not really better than UI3. And with more bugs (cannot connect to MySQL, no market-place working. No way to install the mobile pluginor others, slow UI, less overview. The only good thing is that it doesn’t need flash and works 60% on the iPad.
Is that the innovation everyone was waiting for?
I would say it is now more BETA than it was before on UI3!
One thing is clear. It is really a product for freaks, who like to spend a lot of time on it! Even if the concept is cool.

Is there a way to put my own images and code (JS, HTML and CSS) on Vera to build my own UI based on sencha touch?

From my understanding the UI4 update that gets installed via the instructions is an older build. So hopefully the bugs that you mentioned and the performance issues have been resolved in more recent builds. I am only going by the information that others have posted on here. I do not own a vera yet and will hopefully get one very very soon.
