Vera1 firmware 1338 stopped polling

Hi everyone,

I upgraded my Vera1 to 1.1.1338 a few weeks ago. Everything was working fine.
During the last week I noticed, that Vera isn’t polling any devices any more.
Is this a known bug of this firmware? How can I find out what is going on?
I have telnet access to my Vera but I’m not sure where to look for.
Any hints?
TIA

Nobody?
Sorry, but how can I get it to poll the devices. (again)?
Thanks

What do you have for your poll settings? I’ve attached a screenshot from UI5, but UI4 should be very similar!?

Thanks for trying to help.
Apart from the zwave firmware settinges I see no diference.
I think it stopped polling, after I issued manual polling commands in a scene.
I have already emoved those, but it still doesn’t poll any devices.

Do you have a node that maybe cant be reached anymore? I’m not sure about this, but I remember reading somewhere that the polling restarts from the first node if it gets an non responsive node for any reason.

Does polling work manually?

Yes, “manually” works.
For the ime beeing I made a worarround scene triggered every 2 minute where I poll the most crucial devices by sending poll commands in the advanced tab, but naturally that’s crap.

I removed a not 1-2 weeks ago but I excluded it before I cut the mains, so normally that should be ok.
Do you have any “debug” knowledge how I could verify you assuption?

You should probably submit a ticket I guess to verify, but if you are adventurous or know your way around a shell session, then make sure verbose logging is enabled and perhaps tail /var/log/cmh/LuaUPnP.log

I’m not sure what exactly you need to keep an eye out for, but you could try to grep something like “poll” or “Poll” something like that?!

Thanks, I already submitted a ticket.
We’ll see if there is any response to this.
I’ll keep you posted.

As suspected MCV hasn’t answered my ticket (yet?)
The log show an odd behaviour though, but I cannot be certain because I have no means of comparison.
I have attached the output of a "grep poll " of the LuaUPnP.log
Anyone care to comment?
Thanks

Talking to myself again, just to keep you updated:

Ok, no thanks to MCV - who didn’t answer my ticket up to today - I found the cause and solution for my problem:

causes:

  1. Vera stopps polling, as soon as devices don’t answer or cannot be reached. (Great)
  2. I had several new firaro modules, that stopped answering the poll requests after a few days.
  3. I had a lamp module that was not connected to the mains so it didn’t answer.

solution (preliminary)

  1. Stop polling for all fibaro switches and all not available devices.

Fibaro told me, that the bug is inside the Zensys part of the firmware and that they contacted Zensys to fix the problem. We’ll see how long that takes.

All in all I have to say Fibraro where very quick in responding to my bug report. Lets hope they fix the problem quickly as well.

Don’t hold your breath for Zensys to fix the bug anytime soon. They have been known to take forever to fix a bug or deny that there is an issue.

Well, at least Fibaro did their homework and fixed the problem.
The exchanged all switches with new ones. That is an examplary service, I must say.
Now I am thinking about their Homecenter2.
