Actually all PLEGs running when you upgrade from UI5 to UI6 will still run; However you will not be able to edit them, or create new triggers/conditions/actions.
I clicked on the link that said a firmware update was available, and it’s been downhill since (that link shouldn’t have appeared until beta testing was complete).
I lost all but six of my triggers, all of my LUUP code, and two of my plugins.
Re-loading any of my backups does not bring back what was lost.
And the worst part of this experience has been that I can’t find the Sonos plugin, and I can’t seem to reload the “Combination Switch” plugin from the Vera apps installer. Is it in the MiOS apps store?
Where can I find instructions on reverting my firmware back to the last stable release?
Edit:
I found “Combination Switch” on the https://apps.mios.com/?PK_AccessPoint=30002760&ip=192.168.0.32&token=null MiOS Apps Marketplace, but it does not appear in the Vera apps installer. Also, my login to the MiOS marketplace no longer works (it was the same as my Vera login, but with the new firmware installation, you are forced to create a new account, which does not appear to be linked to the MiOS marketplace), and there does not appear to be any other way to register at the MiOS site.

What got me into this predicament was trying to get the MMS Vera app working on my Android tablet, and it said it couldn’t find my Vera. So I logged into my Vera and saw that there was a firmware upgrade, and I thought maybe having outdated firmware was preventing MMS Vera from finding my gateway. So I took the plunge.
So the good news following the firmware update is that even though some of my stuff doesn’t work, MMS Vera now finds my Vera.
It will not work with UI6. It will probably be some time before Richard will release to UI6 as he has to wait for his Vera Lite to arrive and load up the UI6 firmware and start working. This will take time.

p.s. this is a common question to ask. Verification will go away after a set amount of posts. This is to limit the spammers on this forum.
OK thanks. I will post early, post often (to quote an Australian government advertising slogan from the 70’s - vote early, vote often. Begs the question how many times one can vote in an election!)
The new firmware wasn?t officially launched. For current UI5 users, we will be releasing an upgrade path, as there is still development that needs to be completed for existing plug-ins to ensure a smooth upgrade.
With the new firmware you won?t be able to connect from cp.mios.com. You will only be able to connect from home.getvera.com. The cp.mios.com will be used only for UI4 and UI5 users.
The new MiOS marketplace will be available here: http://marketplace.mios.com/ and for the moment it is work in progress. Not all the plugins are currently working with UI6. The developers will need to update some of the plugins. To be able to connect to http://apps.mios.com/ you will need to login with the username for the UI5.
The MMS Vera app will be used with the new firmware.
Can you please tell me if you are able to connect now to your Vera? I?ve checked our servers and I can see that your Vera reported back last time on 2014-02-06 01:09:04.
Can you please send me your backup file to see if I can extract the luup code?
Sorry for the inconvenience. If you want I can send you all the steps that you will need to follow in order to downgrade to UI5.
That’s pretty good. I was about to starting spouting off and getting myself banned.
Still strange that I was able to easily grab the beta from my Setup->Firmware tab. A bit dangerous to make the beta so easily/accidentally accessible.

The MMS Vera app looks pretty promising.[/quote]
I got an email telling me to download the new firmware from http://firmware.getvera.com None of my PLEG Conditions copied over. My inputs and scenes still appear to be there but no conditions. Fearful what may now happen to my vera. Not because of PLEG but because of this beta firmware.
I’ve been on this forum for a while, have been participating with the group, added myself to MCV email blasts and even had a couple of trouble tickets to MCV to assist me. I have never received an email instructing me to upgrade to the beta version of the new UI. I must not be important enough yet.
I have, on the other hand, seen many, many postings warning users that UI6 was in beta and that the developer community was using this opportunity to update their apps. I have also read dozens of postings asking for help because of compatibility issues that have not yet been resolved.
I even noted from Richard that he was seeking out ways to prevent the new UI from installing PLEG, because it wasn’t fully baked yet.
No wonder the development has slowed at MCV, they are probably too busy supporting customers who upgraded to a beta firmware.
