Vera takes down the network as soon as I plug it into the router

I have set up to Vera 3 units; one at my house and one at my brother’s. We live in separate towns so debugging his is difficult. I had his system working but a few months ago it went down after a t firmware upgrade. I tried to fix I tried to fix it remotely but things would not work. When I got to his house to fix it, it kept talking down his wireless network when I tried to reinstall everything. I tried setting Vera on DHCP default but to no avail. I have no IDE what to try to fix things. Every time I to plug Vera into the router, it requires me to restart the router and the Comcast cable modem. Then I lose Vera connectivity again. Does anyone have an idea about what I can do to get things working again? Right now it is reduced to a 300 paperweight.

Please help.

Tad, this is what Micasaverde support is for. They’ll be able to narrow down the cause and the fix more quickly than we forum users can.

Did you by chance setup Vera as a WiFi client?

If you did, and you have it connected via WiFi and via Ethernet, you could create a loop in your network where all traffic get routed through the loop forever. If that’s the case, MCV won’t be able to connect to it.
