I just updated to the latest version of Vera Mobile on my Android Tablet. Was wondering if anyone else was seeing the following?

  1. Linear GD00Z is now categorized as “Garage Door Switch”. No longer listed with other “On/Off Switch” devices.
  2. I am unable to control my DSC alarm system. It lists “Partition 1” and “DSC Alarm Panel” but, they don’t do anything. There is no switch, there is no box to enter your PIN, there is no arrow to go to another screen to select the status. I can control my DSC alarm from the VeraLite webpage as well as from ImperiHome so, the flaw is in the Vera Mobile application.
  3. Honeywell RTH9580WF thermostat now shows “Off, Auto, Cool and Heat”. Previous versions did not show Auto. The Auto function does not work for me but, i believe that may be a flaw in the App.

Is that the normal version in the Play store or is it the latest beta version? In case of the latter you’d be better off posting it in the beta group on google.

This was the one from the Play Store. I also noticed that when I search the Play Store for VERA it lists VeraMobile UI7 but, when you select that it goes to this new version which is VeraMobile without the UI7. Looks like they dropped the UI7 from the name also. I don’t believe they have published a new update for iOS.

Well, just checked the Play Store once again and my tablet prompted me to update the VeraMobile App. I checked the listing and it says the App is version 7.118 and was updated on Jul 1, 2015. This update still did not fix my issues with the DSC alarm system. Will try to contact MCV support and see what they will tell me.

kendad, seeing the same issue on the Linear GD00Z. Can still control the garage door when logged directly into my controller through my PC but the VeraMobile app no longer displays ON/OFF ability.

Opened a ticket with MCV support but no resolution yet.

Well, finally got a response from MCV support. Guess I will just have to wait until the next update occurs. I have been really supportive of MCV since purchasing my VerLite. However, I can now see why so many people get frustrated. It really does seem they tend to break something every time they fix something else. Hope they can get this one worked out sooner than later.

I managed to connect to your unit and ran some tests then, I checked with our dev team and it seems currently controlling the devices generated by plugin is not working with the mobile apps. This has been reported and it should be added in a future update of the app, in the meantime you can create scenes until this issue is fixed.

My other issue with this response is I have a thermostat that is controlled by a plugin and it seems to be working OK. Guess this issue is random depending on the plugin.
