Vera Mobile App Quit working.

I use the app everyday on my iPhone and iPad. I have never had a problem until this afternoon. When I open the app, it hangs on the screen with the leaf then finally just closes. Since I was on the iPhone I just grabbed the iPad and tried on it but it does the same thing. I have restarted everything, the vera3, the modem, the airport extreme. Nothing has helped. I can open my dashboard on the computer but only after it sits for five minutes to connect. I can see it is getting info from vera in the background while is says its connecting but it says it couldn’t connect so I just close that dialog box and I am connected. All my devices are working. Does anyone have any idea what has happened? I use my app all day long from the time i get up till i go to bed so i am looking for some answers. Oh, and I already deleted and reinstalled the app.

Same exact thing has been happening to me off and on for a week. Love MCV. Hate Vera Mobile. Worst, most unreliable app of any kind I have ever used. Even when it is working, it opens slow, locks up & needs restart etc.

I too experienced failure of several different versions of mobile apps on several different phones and tablets, so I suspect the apps are not to blame, but a part of the forwarding infrastructure.

The app has suddenly stopped working today. It starts, shows the green leaf for quite some time and then dies.

I’m experiencing the same thing. Is there another app out there that works? The “Vera Mobile” iOS app certainly isn’t.

Happening to me to. I’m a brand new Vera user- about a week. What gives?

I am having the same problem

Refresh doesn’t work anymore and after you logout, you cannot login anymore. I have given up on that app. There are much better third party apps out there with much better support.

It’s working again this morning. I was getting VERY slow performance from the cp.mios.com forwarder last night as well so I suspect the app was timing out and crashing due to a server problem on their end.

I am having the same issue. I do not think it is the app itself. I have another device/app (Roomie Remote and iTach) that accesses the service and it will not connect either.

The app will likely work over 3g/4g, but not Wifi in the house if you are having the same issue. I contacted support who tried numerous things, but nothing worked.

My guess is they are updating stuff on the servers to be up to date qith UI6 or UI7.

I guess it crashes the app.

Found another one on the app store. Working fine.

Ditch that app guys. Pick up HomeWave. It is now the new standard.

How did you return an app?! Must not have been the iOS version. Perhaps thats why you hated it. Maybe the Android version sucks?

Wow. I did not know they did that. Pretty cool. Thats some good customer service on Apple’s part. Sucks you didnt like the app though. Its been nothing but great for me so far.
