Vera Lite UI7 to Vera Plus UI7, notifications no longer works

I completed the Vera Lite UI7 to Vera Plus UI7 upgrade (backup, controller shift, restore). All the scenes and devices transferred. After the upgrade, Vera Plus reported that it cannot detect all the battery powered sensors. I manually woke each of those devices and re-enrolled them with Vera Plus. After verifying that all is well, I powered down Vera Lite.

The trouble is, all of the notifications I created with those devices no longer trigger an alert. I did make sure that the checkboxes are selected by each notification.

Observations:

  1. I added a new sensor under Vera Plus and configured alerts, the notification alert for the new device works fine.

  2. I’ve tried restarting Vera, restarting LUUP, refresh, no joy either way.

  3. I powered up the Vera Lite (which is now secondary), and the alerts started to work. Vera Lite is now reporting that it cannot detect the battery sensors that I re-enrolled onto Vera Plus.

It seems like these sensors are still “reporting” to Vera Lite, even though they were enrolled with Plus. I would appreciate any clues on resolving the issue.

Thanks.

Are these all battery operated devices? I noticed you said that some were. Just curious because I believe I saw posts of other unlucky individual’s battery operated not transferring and all needing to be repaired manually.

Yes, they are battery powered devices. After the transfer from Lite to Plus, I had to manually wake up each device and “configure node now”. After that, the “can’t detect device” errors went away, but notifications are not being triggered.

Is there some other way that they should be manually fixed?

What I would do is exclude/include each device with the Vera plus.

Thanks. I presume I will lose all the configurations/scenes with these devices by excluding/including?

Yes, each device will be deleted entirely and get a new device ID.

Simple scenes will still be there, they will just revert to manual after you delete the device. You can then add the new device as a trigger. Configurations beyond that will need to be setup from scratch.

Browse the forum regarding this issue though, I know others have had this issue when upgrading to the plus. Hopefully this is a last resort and someone had a better solution.

Thanks. I am awaiting response from support. Hopefully they can fix it without me having to exclude/include and rebuild all the dependencies.
