Is anyone else having trouble setting a static IP? When I click the “Manual” button nothing happens. The bottom half of the screen stays blank. Seems to be some sort of Java problem, but I’m not sure how to fix. Any ideas?
I would think most of us use the DHCP reservation in our routers. It holds the IP, and it will never assign it to another device if your vera is off.
Try changing your browser. Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome work best with Vera’s GUI.
Having the same issue with a brand new install. Chrome, Firefox and IE11 all have the same problem. (And seriously, do we need 5 captchas for each post?)
I’m having the same problem with IE and Chrome. I agree that I could just use a DHCP reservation but it just seems odd that the applet won’t load. I guess I’ll try Firefox.
Or you doing it via the local Ip adress ,or via cp.mios.com, with the second I had issues as well on my vera 3.
A veralite which is bridged to the vera 3 still has issues, although it has a static Ip adress , my vera 3 recognises a different Ip adress aftera reboot of the vera lite.
My solution was to have a static I adress setup on my router for this device.

If you are using UI there is currently a defect (bug or designed ) that stops the rendering.
Does anyone know of a fix to this problem yet? I am running version 1.6.641 and my Vera constantly changes the IP address which is getting really old trying to track down what the new ip is. I cannot set set the static ip due to the same problem.
@ayo991 - I don’t know about a fix for the Vera bug, but there is a simple solution.
Create a DHCP reservation on your router for your Vera. This will make it so that Vera always gets the same IP address. The steps required vary according to the router make/model.
Tech support fixed this for me. Works great now
Tech Support do have the fix and if you submit a ticket they will restore the functionality.
