I just got my Vera Lite today and through the setup process I flashed the firmware as requested. The unit now will not connect to the network (network light just flashes). When I change to a static IP (192.168.81.100) I can ping and browse to a web page on the unit that says the firmware update failed. There is a link that takes me to a logon with root as the username. Unfortunately I don’t know the password. I have tried the Firmware Recovery tool and it doesn’t find any network adapters. When I try to TFTP it says the server is not responding. I’ve contacted support (via the form), but of course since it’s the weekend I assume I won’t hear anything until at least Monday.
Any ideas? I’d like to get this thing up and running this weekend if possible.
Just an update. I was impressed. I got an email reply and called tech support at 7am-ish ET. The tech support had me up and running in just a few minutes after ssh’ing in. I was impressed by the quick reply on a Monday morning and even happier that my unit is now up and running!
I have the same problem, after firmware upgrade all I can get is the network light fluttering
Have tried the following with no results.
- change ethernet cables
- change IP adress to 192.168.0.10
- Tried plug Vera Lite into router directly
- Plugged Veralite ethernet cable into TP-Link wr702n portable router set to client mode
- Plug ethernet cable directly into port on laptop running on win7
Before upgrade I did get the unit to talk from laptop to veralite through portable router
what can I do to make this work?
