I have a Vera Lite with the latest firmware update installed. I am trying to make Vera a secondary controller on my existing Zwave network. The primary controller is a GE Advanced handled controller model 45601. When I attempt to receive the controller information to make Vera the secondary on an existing netework and have the GE handled transfer ALL to a secondary controller, nothing happens. Both unit wait for the transfer and then time out. Any suggestions? Is there possibly a mismatch in Zwave versions?
Yes, I did try network only and also I tried to shift the controllers to make Vera the primary and the GE Controller the secondary. In all cases both units wait and then time out without any communications occuring. I have paired and unparid devices to the the Vera controller and I have used the GE remote to update a Secondary GE controller. So, I know they are both working for Z-wave communications. It is just that the two, Vera and GE controller, don’t seem to want to talk with each other.
Appears it might indeed be related to Z-Wave 3.20. Got Vera to be secondary on the GE’s network on the first try with Z-Wave 2.78 on Vera. Tried several times with 3.20, but it timed out each time.
