Vera Lite - All LED's blinking

Hello. Please forgive my ignorance - I really haven’t used my Vera Lite very often.

I just took my Vera Lite off the power cord, and off the ethernet cable.
I pressed the power button, and all the led’s blink (orange green red) for the time when I hold down the power button.
(p.S. the batteries have lots of charge)

How do I get the power on, to include a new device?

When it’s connected via the power cord, it appears everything is stable and normal.

EDIT: New Vera edge don’t have batteries. Same process applies to all veras.

Plug the vera back into internet and power, leave it where it normally is and use the software to add new device.

http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Full_Power_Inclusion
More info here but it’s better to not move the VERA around. It causes problems with routing and locating the devices.

from that very document:
“Full power inclusion doesn’t always work. Only newer Z-Wave devices support it, and, they don’t always support the full ‘mesh network’ functions needed to reliably include. So you can use full power inclusion to pick up as many nodes as you can, and then remove Vera’s Z-Wave dongle and carry it around to pick up the nodes that you couldn’t get with full power inclusion.”

Unfortunately, I have to move the Vera Lite to the device, just as it was intended!

However, the Vera Lite doesn’t seem to get into "power up"mode.

Are the batteries good? Have you tried removing them and re adding them? Theree is not awhole lot that can be down to fix the lights, holw old is the vera and how many devices are installed?

All zwave devices support full power inclusion . That document was written years ago.

Distance could be an issue and some devices are a pain to add anyways.

the lights are difficult to watch and figure out when the device was added. If use the UI you can see what happens it will ask you to name the device and put it an a room while its being added.

If you cant get the lights working try using it the most common way. Agian none of the other veras have batteries and having 2 lites then moving to 2 edges the add process is the same.

If your still sceptial on the not using batteries do a search for how to add devices im not the only on suggesting a better way to add devices.
