Vera is not associated in google

Hello,

I have a problem. I installed the vera concierge at a raspberry pi. I entered my vera account, and it finds my vera box.

At the end, I clicked Update Vera concierge server cloud info, and entered my google account.

The problem is, that my vera box does not appear in associated Vera controllers. Did I make a mistake?

Thank you in advance!

Jens

Instead of update the Cloud from your local concierge server at:

http://localhost:8998

use:

https://localhost:8989

I just update the docs and the new version of the Concierge Server.

Thank you for your response!

Now I can see the vera at the google association. But I still cannot control the devices. My google assistant (Nexus 5x) does not understand the “talk to vera concierge”, it openes a web search. Could this be related to my german google account?

It should have recognized Vera Concierge … but still not worked! See:

You should have seen the screen as displayed in:
http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,48893.0.html
So there might also be an issue with your Account … is your phone setup as German or English-US which I believe is required for Google Assistant for now.

I live in Toronto and I have a Google Home device and can’t seem to get it working with Concierge.
I’m able to “talk” to Vera Concierge but the response I get is “Problem getting configuration information for your Vera name XYZ”
My Google Home app version on my Android device is 1.24.33.6
I’ve changed my language to US English
I’ve successfully executed the jar on a headless Ubuntu 16.04 and can access the Vera Concierge Local Server Configuration on port 8989. I’ve entered my Vera credentials and can see my controller listed. I don’t, however, see my GH device listed in the Google Cast Devices section.
I don’t see “Assistant Apps” in the “More Settings” section… is that my issue? Is there any way around this if this is a Canadian restriction?

Thanks,
Grant

On the local “Concierge Server” what does it show as the Local Server IP address ?
If it’s 127.xx.xx.1

For your Ubunto system

  1. You need a static IP address.
  2. You will need to add an entry to /etc/hosts for your Ubunto server name (i.e. output from hostname command) with that IP address.
