Vera Edge Reboot Issue after upgrade

At my wits end.

I avoided upgrading to the latest firmware out of fear that it would cause issues. I eventually had a tech do the upgrade. Everything seemed fine. It wasn’t.

My edge reboots about every half hour to hour. The “alerts” tab shows two lines. The first is a check to see if a reboot is necessary. If not it will then post “no reboot” as a second alert. Eventually a reboot will be performed. See below from the alert tab.

I rolled back the vera to the previous firmware. This did not resolve the issue of constant reboots.

The edge was rock solid before the latest firmware upgrade. I have only two apps installed. One for the IP cameras and “house modes plugin.”

I have filed a support ticket. They advise my logs are not available on their end for some reason. If anybody can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

In the event anyone else runs in to this.

The sercomm IP camera application apparently was causing this issue. I do not know if the application updated and caused a conflict OR if the firmware upgrade caused the conflict.

I fixed the problem by deleting the Sercomm app and re-installing my cameras as IP based cameras without the sercomm app.

No reboots for two hours or so.

I have removed all Camera’s from my Vera after finding out how much load it puts on it. And the issues I end up with.

It seems I’m running fewer and fewer apps these days just to gain some stability…

When I started I download alot of plugins just because they were there. Cameras included, after coming to my senses I have found they are not needed to be in vera and found much better means to get to my end result.

There is just not many reasons to have cameras in VERA and where none for myself. You can display the cameras or integrate motions from the cameras in better ways.

My VERA app (ImperiHome) still shows my cameras as it did before, but now it direct streams from the camera vs. threw vera with a slow choppy picture.

I had a concord plugin, house modes and Sercomm app. Not exactly king of apps.

Now its just the house modes and concord app.

When I first powered up the vera I downloaded a few apps I thought I would need. I deleted them within a day or so. I noticed their files are still in the vera system. Could these files cause issues? I avoided using putty to login and delete them since I am never comfortable dipping my toe on the technical side of things. However, if I am told these old files could cause issues I will gladly perform the task.
