I received a new unit given that the prior one got bricked applying the latest firmware and now I have my second vera edge box dead after applying the same upgrade. What’s the problem with this latest firmware? Can it possibly be THIS bad?
After I got prompted to upgrade to the latest firmware I accepted and now my Vera Edge keeps on cycling through the boot process, first with the power light blinking for about 38 seconds, then both the power and wifi lights blinking for another 38 seconds, then the power, internet and wifi come on for about 5 seconds (this is when the box is accessible via ssh) and then all the lights go on and the unit reboots.
Unfortunately the Vera is getting worse with every release? What’s going on? Any ideas on how to solve this without having to go through customer success (which takes forever to respond to emails and when I call I need to spend a long time on the phone)?
If Vera can’t build reliable solutions, what are the alternatives?
