Vera Edge - brand new install, constant spinning circle - what to do ??

I’m trying to setup a brand new Vera Edge, but all I get - whether I connect via ethernet or the wifi network - is a spinning green circle, which eventually times out.

I’ve tried resetting it multiple times, with no luck, by holding in reset for 30 seconds, holding in reset while powering up until the top two lights cycle, and a few other permutations.

I can’t ssh due to the password only being available via the web interface, which I can’t get to.

Anyone have any ideas? This is pretty frustrating. It’s also a little frustrating that I apparently need to answer an 8th grade science quiz to leave a post.

Hi,

Can you fill out the form below and send us a trouble ticket ?

Be sure to include your Vera unit serial number and we’ll look into it and get back to you shortly.

Thanks.

@robzr. The science quiz goes away. I think after ten posts?

I am having the same problem, seems that the Vera Edge is not remember the routers IP as the namesserver.

http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,34215.0.html

I can edit the resolv.conf and change 127.0.0.1 to be my routers LAN IP instead and then it works all OK until Vera reboots and it gets set back to 127.0.0.1 again.

Still using my VeraLite on UI5 but now also have a Vera Edge on UI7 which I was hoping to move too but so far its been problematic to say the least.

Thanks
