Was going to try an external antenna on a Edge. Currently trying one on my Vera3. Side note, does anyone know how to determine zwave signal strength?
Sorry, back to my original question. Pulled my Edge apart (no screws, the top pops off rather easily). There are three antenna connectors. One labeled ‘CON3’ is connected to a silver/metal PCB mounted antenna, and looks like the WiFi antenna. The 2nd internal antenna is labeled ‘CONQ2’ is connected to a PCB style antenna, and looks like the Zwave antenna. Then there’s a 3rd empty connector labeled ‘CONQ1’, and next to it is a copper 18 gauge-ish wire soldered into the mainboard, extending out about 1/2", then bent at a right angle for about 3/4", labeled ‘E3’.
Any ideas on if my antenna identification is correct, and what is the copper ‘antenna’ is, and finally, what CONQ1 is for.

There is already threads on external antennas for the edge including pictures.

The wire antenna seems to be the z-wave antenna, the green one taped to the top is the wifi and the unused port is unknown.
