Vera Down

I have had Vera running for just over a month. Several times I have received a text message and/or an email notifying me that Vera is down.

Does Vera ever recover by itself from being “down”? I have unplugged and after reboot all is well.

Today I got a new “wait” message saying “Wait for Z-Wave Network”. My event did not occur and I could not manually operate my light switches.

Is my Vera unusually tender? Or, more likely, have I missed some important part of installation?

Sorry for a mistake in my post. I did not mean I could not operate switches manually. I meant that from the Vera interface I could not select “On” for my switch. While “waiting for Z-Wave network” the off/on appeared to be disabled.
