I’ve slowly gotten my vera system up and working, and largely it works pretty well and everything is reliable. However, I’ve noticed that often when I save settings things dont take and I have to make changes and save multiple times. This even happens when I save after each change and wait for a reload.
Other times, I notice that when I create a scene or a room, it will keep duplicating. When I go to delete them, they just re-appear.
This normal? Seems like something others would have noticed.
No it’s NOT normal.
I don’t know what is causing the issue, but I would try a few things.
Power cycle the Vera. 2. Clear your browser cache and start a new session with Vera.
Connect to Vera via a wired connection, I don’t know if you are accessing it via a laptop or other wireless connection.
Try a different browser, perhaps the one you are using has changed the way it handles javascript.
Other things that might cause such erratic behavior mighty be a very large network or high polling frequency that might be putting Vera under high load. Check the log http://your-vera-IP-Address/cgi-bin/cmh/log.sh?Device=LuaUPnP
I had regulary similar issue when using Chrome, now with Firefox, I only got once a scene created twice.
Any way, clear cache may solve a lot of issue with UI5.
I am using Chrome, and its been happening for months with many power cycles. I’ll try internet explorer and see how it goes.
Its very annoying but I can usually get it to work with enough effort. If anyone else has been using Chrome have they seen this? I can try dumping my cache but I suspect its the browser.
had this too , now im using firefox for it and it seems to work better but somehow things get mixed up. there is a error in the UI5 also that is being adressed in the next firmware.
what helped me was deleting the last scene i made and reboot the vera.
