Vera Dashboard All On-All Off shortcut

I tried searching and couldn’t find this answer, On the dashboard of the Vera android app there is a short cut for your light to turn all on or all off. My question is how does a new device join this group so it is included in this command. it appears they randomly show up. When I installed my first switches last year only the dimmers were included in the group and I could never figure out how to include the non-dimmable switches. some time ago they joined the group without my doing. Now this weekend I installed a new switch and have the same problem that when I send the all on or all off command this switch is not included in the group of switch that receive the command. Any help would be appreciated in pointing me in the right direction.

I have a lot off vswitches which turn on/off lights.
Is there a way to put these switches in the lights category so the shortcut switch all on/off can be applied?
The parameters page does not have a variable “sub-category” which should be set to 3 as stated in an other post.
Thanks for helping me out!
