Got it. It doesn’t show up in the Vera Apps/Install Apps listing however
wow, I know vera was buggy, but that’s nuts! I’m on UI5, if that may be the difference. So strange.

Have you checked if you can access Blue Iris directly using the same IP set in the plugin? I’m wondering if the DNS server you installed assigned a different IP to your Blue Iris server and the plugin doesn’t know that and is still looking at the old IP address.
Make sure that the DNS server you installed, assigns a ‘static’ IP to you Blue IRis server based on that servers MAC address. I’d suggest it do the same for Vera.
yes I can input the IP into a browser and access the camera. All appears to be OK. How do I go about installing a static IP on the DNs. I’m using dyndns service and a D-link dir-826l router. i can’t find anyplace to install a static IP. Sorry for the questions but this is getting rather confusing.

Any help here? I’ve checked the ports with 'canyouseemee" and the assigned camera ports are open as well as the Blue Iris port.
I still cannot see it
Hopefully underteo can chine in and advise
Can you please pm me and we can work on it that way
this is going to sound crazy but I just tried pm’ing you and I dont have access to do so.
can you perhaps pm me your e-mail address so that we can correspond that way?
You need about 15 more posts before PM ability is activated. It’s a security system to ward of spammers.
Just a heads up to everyone 0.6 is pending approval in the mios app store. Its been waiting for a couple weeks not sure why so long. I did email support about it today.
Just a note to people wanting to use the username and password feature which is working in 0.6 you will need to make sure “Secure only” is unchecked under Blue Iris > Options > Webserver > Advanced for it to allow passing of the username and password in the url.
Thanks Undertoe, but does that method in (0.6) still maintain security?
Yes disabling that option allows you to pass the username and password in the URL. Someone sniffing your packets on your local network only could see your URL query and notice the username and password in it from vera to BI. However this is the only option if you want username and password for all access to your BI. If u wanted to be leet you could run dowrt on your router and read a how to to block packet sniffing on your network.

Any option to cut the on time down to less then 30 sec on the motion trigger? I adjusted it in the advanced menu but it reverts to 30sec on restart. 30sec per trip seems long!
I was actually just implementing native record and ptz functions for use in scenes and added that feature. Not sure on a release date for .7 but i will keep the forum up to date when its released.
Also looks like MIOS marketplace finally approved version 0.6 so everyone can update to it to gain access to the new username and password features.

I have the plug in VERSION 0.5* running using username and password already. If I upgrade to 0.6 is something going to change? Will I loses access? Changes to Blue Iris necessary?
I’m a little gun shy as I had to reinstall BI this weekend and after I did none of the other access mechanisms (Plugin, ImperiHome, BI Remote) worked. So I spend a few hours fiddling with various combinations on BI and the remote access tools and finally got two of them working again:
– BI Plug In is working again after entering username and password
– ImperiHome is working again after entering the username and password
– Blue Iris Remote (RS) Android app does NOT work any longer even with username/password
Right now BI is running with Authentication on “All connections”, “Secure only” UNCHECKED.
Just username and password has been integrated into the urls for PTZ functions and camera image. If it works and you don’t want to update i would keep it as is.
It isn’t that I don’t want to update, I prefer to keep my systems current. My concern is that it is already working with user/password and I was concerned that the new version would break that somehow. I didn’t clearly understand that the change has to do with PTZ, which I don’t currently use.

I think your men’t you’ll work on that for version .7?
Also for more requests. ;D Changing the Name of the motion. I see that also reverts back to blah blah “camera sensor”. It gets to long and cut off in certain phone apps and doesn’t look clean enough. If we could modify it to our liking that would be great.

Just FYI, I upgraded to 0.6 and everything is fine. Thanks
It also looks like there was a bug in yesterday’s BI update, there was another one this morning. Yesterday’s appears to have had something to do with authentication because I could not log in with my Blue Iris Remote Android app and today suddenly works again.
I did yesterdays update and had no problem logging in. Running version 3.61.01 as of right now, but I also have auto updates on.
Hmmmm I wounder what it was.
Working like a charm, thanks undertoe your a star, and look forward to more wicked features.
I do have one question if I may
So ive got to the point where I can arm the motion sensor from BI using the .bat script as per the instructions. My question is, when armed how can I get BI to start recording?
Thanks
