Thanks I now have set mine to 1500 which should be more then 24 hours and mine change from day to night so it should never be in one schedual for more then say like 16 hours even on the solstice. I did have it set to “99999” and I do think BI told me that over a certain amount it doesn’t work. I don’t remember what my previous problem was but I don’t appear to have any yet, and it’s working good.
Ok guys A little update and more features for us. First the temp profile time seems to be ok, but still missing the beat usually 1 to 2 times a day (I can see VERA run my BI Fix in the logs when it happens). I think this is do to BI updates or computer/BI program restarts, haven’t pinned that down but I found a solid solution anyways.
Working with Ken at BI I now have an HTTP command to Run, Temp or Hold the profile. By adding “lock=x” to the current Http command you can now choose how you want to run that Profile.
Ohh yes Glad you noted that. That is correct you need to be on atleast version 3.64 there has been more versions after this (inlcuding today 3.64.01 was released) since this came out.
I’m currently working on or looking for a way to have VERA switch my cameras IR’s on vs. having the cameras do it. I have some crappy Foscams still hanging around and if I left them auto turn on night vision they turn PINK (IR filter problem) until I manually turn off then back on the IR’s. I would like some way to have them auto turn on the IR’s threw Blue Iris each night. If anyone has some ideas let me know. Looking for maybe and HTTP command for each camera to flip the IR filter button.
Its so funny you mentioned the image turning pink, and the IR issue. I have 1 Foscam which recently started doing that, and I had no clue. I just assumed the cam was on its way out, and I planned on replacing all my Foscams anyhow due to continued issues/quirks with them.

Thanks for the info. :-)[/quote]
Yea I have nothing but foscam issues. I had 6 (well still do if you count them) and I’m just babying them everyday to keep working seems like. Night is almost full useless but during the day they look ok. My IR’s fliker (which means motion goes off so I have motion off on the bad ones and way way down opn the so so ones, basically I can use motion at night) and most don’t work when you look at them they are not lit (The ir’s). And the pink issue above. I have found a manual cycle of the IR will fix that Pink problem until the next night comes and they auto turn on.
I never new but BI does have IR commands on and off in the Camera, Scheduling area. Altho I cant use VERA to command this yet, I might not need to as BI has its own Sunrise and Sunset time checker and I can go off that. I’ll follow up in a few days on how this is working out. Might fix my Pink Eye problems until I finally toss these Foscams.
I replaced them with Hikvision 3MP bullets, but since these still sort of work, I figure leave them hanging until I can get nothing out of them then trash they go.
I have a quick Question. I have it setup and when I click on View i See the Camera, but in the UI (UI5) i see invalid URL on the Device. I am i missing something?
There was reportedly some work going on that would more closely integrate the BI controls with the "Unofficial" Plug In. Any updates on that?
Do you know what kind of resource impact there is on a) Vera and b) Blue Iris for using this Plug-In … specifically per camera?
i think I can now answer the (b) part of this myself.
My BI now has 11 cameras defined; currently only two are active the rest are awaiting installation so they report “No Signal” in BI. All the cameras are 1MP, 720P. Ten of them are PoE and one is Wi-Fi. All are configured as:
640x360
5 FPS
512KB rate.
Blue Iris is currently running on a Zotac ZBOX with 1.8Ghz Intel Atom. With this camera configuration the BI CPU usage shows 4-to-6% with no recording in process.
I have configured eleven camera/plugins on Vera and there is ZERO apparent impact on Blue Iris. There does not appear to be any functional impact on Vera, everything is working just as “crisply” as before the installation.
I’m having trouble with initial setup. Vera says “Camera URL is invalid”.
Trying to setup my Vera3 with BlueIris and Trendnet TV-IP551WI.
I’ve tried both downloading the files from Github and installing the app from the app store with the same results.
I’m following every step in the How-to video with no luck. Is there something I’m missing or are some cameras not compatible?
I’ve confirmed that the camera functions fine in BlueIris alone, and I can add it to Vera as a “normal” IP camera - although in that case, Vera Mobile tells me that it has to switch to emulation mode to display video.

Did you already do this:
In Blue Iris on the PC, go to Settings > Web Server and uncheck the “secure only” box. This allows third party apps to use plaintext or basic authentication
Also, I had to restart the LUA engine the first time I setup a camera

Thanks for the suggestion. I already had that unchecked.
Any other ideas? I’m running Blue Iris on WHS2011. Any chance it’s blocking something or lacking a piece of code?
Same setup with WHS2011 and BI here. Not a problem with any of my 10 camera’s. What port did you set up in bi for teh BI webserver? As port 80 is already taken up by the WHS2011 dashboard.
I specify IP.AD.DRE.SS:PORT where the IP address goes and Vera sets it up fine with the BI plugin from the app store installed. Both on UI5 and on Ui7.

Does this plugin or any other plug accept rtsp streaming? If not, what are the best 720p/1080p cameras with IR (night vision) that works well with the VeraEdge?
So, I tried installing BI on a different computer running Windows 7 and managed to get it working. I think I’ll try to reinstall on my WHS2011 machine tonight now that I know what settings worked for Win7. It’s possible that I messed up a setting while trying to get it working.
Found my problem. I had allowed blueiris.exe as an exception to my firewall. But while troubleshooting I turned off my firewall and found that I could connect. I ran the surprisingly helpful “Troubleshoot my Network - Incoming Connections - Allow other computers to connect to Blue Iris…” As it turns out, I should have allowed BlueIrisAdmin.exe (shows up with Name “Blue Iris 3” when you run the wizard).
Thanks for the troubleshooting…
Now on to the next issue - when I open the stream in Vera Mobile I get this error:
“Incorrect camera configuration for video streaming, running in emulation mode” - it then shows the video, but I don’t understand what the error message is. I cannot view the video stream in Home Buddy on my Android device - it just says “ERROR:” Is this a camera capability issue?
I don’t use either app but I am able to view all my camera’s (for models see my sig) via both AuthomationHD and ImperiHome apps on Android (Multiple devices and OS versions)
