Vera - Apple Timecapsule

Have a new apple time capsule and can’t get vera and the time capsule to cooperate. Vera doesn’t seem to be recognized. Any one think of any settings
that need to be done on the timecapsule…dhcp… manual?

I know others have had better experiences with this, but I was in the same boat you are. I am proud to have what used to be a no-Windows network. Used to run all Apple router equipment, both the Time Capsule and the Airport routers, but had nothing but problems getting them to recognize Vera properly. I started with Vera on my Time Capsule (which was part of a wireless bridging setup), then put it directly on the main router at the suggestion of Tech Support – then ahead of the router, but that didn’t work either. (I was also using DSL from AT&T and had some weird setup I had to use on the Apple stuff.) I ended up going back to my DLink N router, DI-804, which gave me excellent results with the same ports opened.

Eventually I went to a combo Netgear DSL Modem and Wireless Router, and haven’t had a connection problem since after the last time I did a restore. I was having issues with the DSL modem and the router I was using not fully allowing connections to pass through, so it would seem. I was also having problems with PS3 and XBox live gaming sessions concurrently with the Vera problems, a product of some NAT issues.

I have an Airport Extreme and have had Vera 1 on it for a year now and no issues. No special settings, but I do not have any networking turned on in Vera, only acting as a switch. How are you setting your Vera up?
