I have two licenses and mine works fine but my wife’s shows up 2x. I don’t get it. I tried clearing data and reregistering vera alerts.
I went into the program to send test alerts and here are my findings. Send test just to my id and it shows up on mine and hers just 1x… Not sure why it goes to hers maybe this is the issue.
Sent notification to just her id and it shows up 1x… OK seems good.
As soon as an alert comes through its duplicate again. I dont get it. Maybe these screenshots will help.
Did you swap phones (and VeraIDs) at one time ? Or maybe you entered your Vera ID on her phone once ?
It ONLY takes once! After that … that VeraID will be tied to BOTH phones … You will have to quit using it.
The Protocol that Google uses to manage connections to a phone will have these type of problems if the same
ID is used EVER on different phones that still both subscribe to the Vera Alerts Notifications.
You can move a Vera User ID to another phone … but the OLD phone must NEVER register with Vera Alerts again!
- I suggest you UNREGISTER BOTH PHONES!!!
- Create new Unique VeraIDs (they need to be 12 characters long) for each.
- Register Both Phones
- Update your profiles in Vera Alerts.
