Vera Alerts App Power Consumption Under Android

I don’t have a lot of information or a huge sample so it may be just my installs but the Android Vera Alerts App appears to consume a significant amount of battery power.

I’ve been have battery life problems on my HTC One X+ and found in the power usage list that Vera Alerts had consumed some 14% of the battery, second only to Android itself. And on my Nexus tablet the App had racked up 34%.

I don’t know to what this can be attributed but I’ve disabled the App on both devices to see if my battery life improves.

I’d of course be happy to assist in debugging this if it looks like it’s real.

Are you running with LAN mode enabled ?

I had reinstalled this morning and I just checked and apparently yes. Is this a problem?

if you are runningn LAN mode the app is running all the time.

Ah, now it makes sense. Turn off LAN mode. Thanks
