Can media from IP cameras be saved to USB connected mass storage attached to the V3 controller or an IP based network storage?
I understand that video feeds can be uploaded to MiCasa servers for viewing and storage but I would prefer to store this locally.
I’m also interested in this capability. I know Micasaverde is planning a monthly paid service for video soon which I would consider (if it works) but for now, I would like to store locally.
I’m also looking for an answer. I’ve seen on the forum that you have to write some Luup code in order to upload to NAS via ftp, but couldn’t find the code. If someone has seen it, it could be great having the link, thanks!
There I’ve found some information: but once again, we have to Luup! http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,8947.15.html
And the Luup doesn’t work for me. And now I’ve the confirmation that we will have to pay a fee (Premium account) to see the recorded videos! I understand now the business model of MCV. For me, this is an option, this option could be ok for some users but I think that users should also have the option to choose where to save their records: on their NAS or on local PC. And MCV doesn’t give the opportunity for this option! >:(
