Anyone know if the USB ports on Vera 2 can be used to charge a Ipod Touch or IPhone ? Or would that be a bad thing.
Cant see why not? I have an un-powered hub, a serial port and a USB-UIRT hanging off mine. USB has a minimum spec of 500mA. Just don’t try an iPad 
The Vera1’s used to flash when you attempted to draw too much power. I maxed mine out once with an unpowered hub, two USB-serial ports and a flash memory stick. All came right again once I removed one… YMMV
I’ll give it a try. Vera is on all the time so I thought I would use it to charge my Ipod Touch instead of running my computer. One less power puck to use.
