Using wired scene controller and micro dimmer

I bought a wired scene controller without realizing it did not handle a load for a light. I also have a micro dimmer I am not using.

I do not have a light switch in the area that I can sacrifice to a scene controller.

Can I safely connect both the micro dimmer and the scene controller to the same line wire and not set my house on fire?

This switch only controls one light fixture, and even though it is rarely used I still want to have some ability to control it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that what you intended on doing was using the scene controller to switch the lighting load directly, in addition to control other devices via a scene.

If this is the case, and you have a spare micro dimmer, you can still make this work.

Yes, you can wire them both to the same line wire. Wire the load on to the micro dimmer on the Load terminals (marked ‘load’, outside terminals), and supply to the inside terminals. Replace the old switch with the new controller, and program the controller to operate your dimmer. If the controller supports associations, it will work without the controller if associated with the dimmer module.
