Using Winscp

I can’t ssh into Vera 3 using Winscp. access denied

I am using “root”, pw on Vera label and SCP protocol.

What am I doing wrong?

I just want to view my log files.

Thanks

bucko, that should work. Perhaps the password is different. There’s ways of recovering the password; search the forum for Vera Lite Password.

Edit: here’s some threads: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9797.0.html http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,11216.0.html http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9011.0.html

Ok futzle, that worked. The label had caps in the PW and it should have been all lower case. I got in with Wnscp now.

Thanks

Just as an aside…after many hours of trying to connect, referencing various UI5, UI7 topics, instructions on how to reset the default ip address to allow Vera lite to act as a server and still not connecting, I finally found a forum topic that mentioned unsecuring the Vera. Very frustrating. Common sens I know, but the manuals, and support at the form is slow. RTFM doesn’t mean much when the information is so difficult to find. I am in and hopefully get my Caddx system linked shortly. Hopefully, it works as planned and I may be reaching out for help fro a couple of the folks having traveled this path before if things don’t light up quickly after the week of playing with this. Thanks for the forum and help in the past and future.
