So I’m attempting to connect to Vera 2 with WinSCP and I can’t seem to accomplish this…
For Host name I’ve given WinSCP the IP address of my Vera 2
User name is root
Password is from the sticker on the bottom
Port is set to 22
Protocol is FTP no encryption
This shows me connected and waiting for welcome message, which times out.
Do I need to do something to enable it on the Vera?
I run SubnetInsight by Bluewine on my iPad, a great little network tool, it shows only port 22 and 80 open on the Vera 2. Using 21 WinSCP just times out.
Hmm I had read somewhere that WinSCP needed to be in FTP mode to connect, it seems it actually needs to be in SCP but the port changed to 22 to connect.

OK, i got it to work yesterday with standard settings, maybe you could remove WinSCP (have it remove all registry settings too) and reinstall it. There might be an issue with the keys WinSCP stored from your vera.
As @strangely stated, try putty first so you know it works!
