Hi,
I have multiple VIZIA RF - VRC2-MRZ switches with my Vera light.
I am trying to achieve 3 way lighting control.
such that switch 1 & 2 both control a single light.
I can do this effortlessly with EVOLVE.
I’ve hooked up the light wires to switch 1. Using grouping, I associated both scene controllers the same control module
(that of switch 1).
The result is almost ok, both switches control the light. but there are 2 problems:
-
The switches don’t sync, meaning that sometime turning ON the light doesn’t work, because the other switch doesn’t know it’s OFF
-
The leds are reversed, meaning ‘green led’ means light is ON, but I want it to show light is OFF
Any ideas on how I can reliably achiever this simple scenario?
Thanks,
Moshe
@moshecom,
Welcome!
I would suggest not manually manipulating the associations (groupings), but create an On and Off scene for each light. In each scene, use both scene controllers as triggers.
Vera should then set up the proper associations and scene programming in the controllers and their built-in switches.
As for the LEDs, the behavior is consistent with Leviton scene controllers (which is what the VRCS2 is). Reversing it is not available AFAIK.
Hi guys.
I have the same problem as described. Only thing I can add is if I use the Leviton remote to program my switch and scene controller, associations works fine. Both will update each other’s status. So it leads me to believe that it is possible to make the controller work properly with either an advance scene setup or a luup script.
Has anyone gotten their Leviton switch and scene controller working properly with the indicator light and the device status update working on Vera 3?
Thanks,
JN
