using analog cctv cameras with vera

I currently have outdoor cameras on my house that are wired to a dvr using BNC connectors. Would I be able to use an encoder and view these cameras with vera. What type of encoder would I need?

If you don’t already know the .Jpeg URL for the DVR, contact the manufacturer and get it.

As an example, my 16ch Nuvico DVR uses: /cgi-bin/jpg.cgi?id=UN&pass=PW&refresh=1&channel=9
The URL, IP and port # will be required to obtain a picture within Vera.

Step 2 will be to obtain the streaming video URL, if the DVR supports it.
