I have 2 LED can lights that I want to put a Zwave Dimmer on. There are 2 switches that control these lights. Both switches have neutrals in the box and there is a 14-4 romax cable between them. Is it possible to use Linear’s WD500Z as my main Dimmer and a GE ZW2002 Auxiliary switch for the 2nd switch? Or am I forced to get a WD00Z1? If I can use this setup could someone give me some pointers as to how the Linear switch is connected? I know that Green is groud (bare), that White is to neutral, but what do I connect to the traveler?
The GE/Jasco ZW2002 is intended for use ONLY with appropriate GE/Jasco switches, such as the 45609 relay and the 45612 dimmer.
You CANNOT use the GE auxiliary switch with the Linear WD500Z-1 dimmer. This dimmer can only use Z-Wave controllers to control it wirelessly via Z-Wave. The Linear WT00Z-1 3-Way Wall Dimmer Switch is the recommended Linear device for n-way installations.
For how to wire it, see the attached diagrams.
LRM-AS = WD500Z-1
LTM-5 = WT00Z-1
