Use of Instant Status to control another switch

Hi,

Currently have a number of Linear WD500Z-1’s controlled by a VeraPlus and they all work fine.

My goal is to have one of the WD500z-1’s controlled when I switch another. To put names to them:
Dimmer 2 is in the Garage
Dimmer 1 in in my Foyer.

I would like the garage to go on / off when I manually switch the Foyer, but not when Vera switches the Foyer. I expect I will have to change the Foyer dimmer to a Cooper RF9540 or similar.

Question is, Can I create the control I want? Would I be using the Cooper instant status “signal” or is there another way to control them (like direct pairing / grouping or some such)?

I see a lot of information but can’t quite get the hang of these particular functions.

Thanks

JohnRob

In general, if you use direct association from switch one to switch two then manual operation of switch one will also control switch two but Vera control of switch one will only control switch one.
Note that association links switch one to switch two for on AND off operation so turning off switch one will also always turn off switch two.
