USB Logging & UI7

NOTE: I suspect this is just a quirk in the UI7 interface; I didn’t want to hijack the UI6 thread, so I created a new thread for UI7.

With a lot of help from the “USB Logging & UI6” thread (and others), I got my USB thumb drive (SanDisk Cruzer Fit 4GB USB 2.0 Low-Profile Flash Drive- SDCZ33-004G-B35) to format, mount, and survive a Vera reboot. On to the inevitable next issue ;-). That is, the UI7 interface.

My USB stick mounts fine, and shows up as /dev/sda1 mounted on /tmp/log/cmh.

The problem is that UI7 does not seem to recognize the mount…

USB status Device Not mounted

Any ideas?

I am seeing the same thing.

It appears it enables the drive for system access but is not mounting it for WEB access.

Perhaps my expectations were too low. I expected to expand the logging area capacity so I could keep more data and not worry about running out of disk space. So far, mission accomplished, except for the puzzling UI7 message.

Are you saying that by using a USB stick for logging, you should be able to SEE the log file via the WEB?
