I just tried to upgrade my veralite firmware through the new portal (nexus) and it did not work. When I click on upgrade, i got a message “start upgrading” but it did nothing. I have to login to my controller and update from there and both my veralite & edge are at the latest firmwares.

I had the same experience on the old portal, never got it to work. Just connect to your controller and if there is an updated version (just released one today) it will prompt you to install it.
